Kenneth J. Brothers, B.A., LL.B.
Kent has practiced law in Corner Brook, NL since 1995. He obtained his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1991, and completed his LL.B. at Dalhousie University in 1994. Kent focuses his practice on Real Estate and handles a significant portion of the residential and commercial real estate transactions in Western Newfoundland. Kent is actively involved in the community having served on the Board of Directors with numerous organizations and also served as President of the Domus Legis Society while at Dalhousie. Kent also played four seasons of Varsity Ice Hockey for the Michigan Wolverines and served an additional year as a player/coach. Since retiring from hockey after the 2007 Captain Cook Tournament, Kent stays active via running, cycling, and skiing. Additionally, Kent enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.

Scott B. Burden, B.A., LL.B.
Scott has practiced law in Corner Brook, NL since 1997. He obtained his B.A. from Memorial University in 1993, and completed his LL.B at Dalhousie University in 1996. The vast majority of Scott’s practice encompasses Personal Injury/ Accident Law and he has represented hundreds of clients on a wide variety of claims. Scott also has a significant Family Law practice and represents numerous clients on Criminal Law matters and trials. Scott is highly involved with local hockey leagues and can typically be found on the ice or behind the bench coaching when he is away from the office or the court room. Scott stays active via golfing, running, and working out throughout the year and is a founding member of Friday Hockey. Scott is also a lifelong Boston Bruins fan and enjoys time with his wife and three children.

Andrew W. May, B.A., LL.B.
Andrew has practiced law in Newfoundland since 2002. He obtained his B.A. from Mount Allison University in 1992 and obtained his LL.B and B.C.L. from McGill University in 1996. Prior to practicing law Mr. May worked in financial services and in the fish processing sector. Mr. May practices Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and Family Law as well as some Civil Litigation and Municipal Law. Mr. May is presently serving as volunteer chairperson of Humber Village Ltd. He and his family are active in the sports of cross-country skiing, and wilderness adventure.

Kelly Langthorne, BSc., LL.B.
Kelly joined Brothers & Burden as an associate in December of 2010. She obtained her BSC from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2003 and completed her LL.B at the University of New Brunswick in 2007. Kelly has experience practicing in a variety of legal areas, including personal injury and family law. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time outside with her dogs, participating in dance/aerobic classes and relaxing with a good book.
